Testimonials from Duckworth Owners
I feel like $1,000,000 when I'm cruising in my Ultra Magnum! The "oooohs" and "aaaaahs" we get from the crowd as we're smashing up intense white-water always gives my ego a nice boost. :)

I / we enjoy this boat every time we take it out. I usually do a lot of Salmon fishing, but with the closure this year we've been hitting up more of the local lakes for trout and landlocked salmon. The first time I took it out fishing I caught a 70" White Sturgeon on the Sacramento River. The UGLYDUCK as we call her, because she is so pretty. lol This boat is perfect for me and my two sons, usually fish 2 adults and 2 juniors. The 4.3 V-6 is very economical and cruises easily at 35 mph. Thanks for making a great boat! Brian

The workmanship of the consistent heliarc welds, fit and finish, and design as compared to many of the other boats, I have seen, makes the quality of the Duckworth heads and shoulders above other boats. When I was shopping for boats, 5 years ago at the boat shows, those above qualities, convinced me to purchase a Duckworth.
Posted by Robert, a proud owner of a 215 Duckworth Navigator
We love the workmanship in our boat, the smooth ride in rough water on those days that turn ugly, and most of of all the security we get from a well built boat. Theres plenty of room for all of us, we are a family of 5. We are always getting compliments from other boaters about how GREAT our boat looks!. The Yamaha 150 has plenty of power and is very quiet! Wouldn't trade this boat for anything!!!

I love the utility & economy of the drive system & the beauty of it!! I run with a group in a club and everyone really is amazed at how well my little tub handles & runs with the 4.3L as compared to everyone elses larger tub with 5.7L plants or larger. I have the smallest & yet the most 'Go any where' tub in the club!! And my experience with repair on my tub was well above excellent - my tub came back to me better adapted to what I do than I could have asked! The people that build & repair the boats are top notch!!!

The fact that every other boat owner at the marina/dock wants a Duckworth!
Posted by Chuck, a proud owner of a 18 Duckworth Advantage Classic
Versatility and comfort. Rides much nicer than many other jet boats I've fished in. Never gives me the impression that the boat isn't up to the task and it holds well in the current or wind. I may get a little wet in rough conditions because it's an open boat, but the boat has always been up to the task as a confidence inspiring platform.

The Pacific Navigator is the best boat for rough water. It handles the rough water of Lake Tahoe without any problems at all.
I got the partial hard top option with the gull wing door for easy in and out of the bow area and also for better visibility while trolling.

We all see the ads on economy of use and if you have been around boats its all hard to belive well not with these boats . A average day for us a family of four with everything we think we might need stuffed in the boat is twenty pluse miles on the 90 Yamaha, six pluse hours on the 8hp kicker we have yet to use over 9 gallons of gas on any one day. I can't say enough about the boat the quality construction, comfort and room not too mention ease of towing and its cheap to keep. Not a whole lot more you can ask for in what is really an entry level boat just a high quality one.

What I like best about my Duckworth is, the fact that it never let's me down, ever. After owning our boat almost ten years, it still turns as many heads as the day we bought it. The unmistakable quality and performance of our Duckworth continues to keep it head and shouilders above the rest. No matter what water we put into , it continues to deliver the same as it did when we bought it. Keep up the good work Duckworth!

I've just purchased it. There is a LOT of deferred maintenance to take care of but the things I like are rock solid. I like:
The hull, it's rock solid.
The swim deck, think I may take scuba lessons.
The heavy duty eye rings (for towing the kids on an inner tube).
The walk through dash (need to be able to easily get to the front of the boat).
The full top with sides and back drop (it gets too hot and too cold here).
The 'automotive style' heater (again with the cold).
The Jet pump, lose some HP but huge gain in river fishing ability.
Easy access to the engine. Roll the 'dog house' forward and you have easier access than you do in any truck.
Tricker Trailer. Looks like they're out of business... probably gave too much trailer for what they charged.
Wide Gunwale top extrusion. Gives a feeling of stability and nice place to mount down rigger plates.
Solid Thick chine extrusions. Wow.
Console with leg room (no room like that in North River boats).
Bars to convert bench seats to bed (just in case).
Nice ride but still has shallow water capability.
Generous Freeboard. My last boat would occasionally take waves 'over the side'.
Overall this is the perfect boat for my needs.

Quality construction, great ride (my wife and I are both retired and have back problems), we get envious positive feedback from owners of other brands of welded aluminum boats which make us feel good about our choice. The Yamahas are our first four cycle outboards and we are really impressed with the quiet power and fuel miserly operation.

For a small boat (prior boat was a 48' Offshore Yacht Fisher) I like the 21.5' for several reason. Layout, easy to maintain, great ride, style, and all the compliments it receives at the dock. I have been in a lot of boats over the last 40 years and this boat for its size is setup just right for what I wanted. Have owned the boat since new and have had very few problems. When was new, the factory in Clarkston solved problems quickly and with no questions. The boat wa repowered last year, but the hull is in great shape.
The boat is used on the Snake and Columbia Rivers year-round under most conditions. Never have myself or anyone with me have ever felt that we didn't have enough boat for conditions. The boat is a joy to fish out of.

Similar to most every owner I like; the ride, handling, and stability in rough water. The offshore engine braket and fishing transom with livewell is very, very nice. This boat with the 150 Yamaha seems to cruise effortlessly and economical as well. Everytime we're out in the boat in all different kinds of conditions we never come away unsatisfied! What a joy to own and use. The biggest disappointment would be not enough hours in a day when using this sled.

Don't know yet as we've not used it as of yet but knowing how it was used before and after doing extensive research to what these boats can stand up to. The previous owner used in Alaska and hauled a 350 gallon water tank to put bait fish in. Understanding that this boat can handle that we know it can handle the load of 4 divers and boat operator along with our extra tanks, ropes, and communications gear. One of the highlights we are hoping that will serve us well is the triple stage jet pump. With people in the water and communication/tether lines attached to divers we don't have a prop to worry about getting in the way. Again, I look forward to posting more as we get to use it but after watching the videos on the Duckworth website it gave us great respect and excitement for what we now have the opportunity of using. Though it is an older boat it looks like it can still perform.

I enjoy the comfort of the ride and have plenty of room to fish. When I pull into a boat dock, the people that have what I would consider "The Nice Boats" will tell me that they wish they had my boat. I spent two years researching boats to buy. Posted by William, a proud owner of a 16' Duckworth
This is the most durable boat on the market. Having used it hard for over 20 years, she is finally starting to show her age,: carpet is wearing out where it receives heavy traffic. The hull, be it a bit dented and scratched, is still solid as are all the welds. I can't say enough about the durability and reliability of this boat. If I ever have to replace this boat, you can bet it will be with another Duckworth!
Posted by David, a proud owner of a 17 Duckworth Pro Steelheader
I'm a bit of a perfectionist and always looking for attention to detail. The fit and finish on my Duckworths has always been terrific. I can always depend on Duckworth going the extra mile to make sure the welds are uniform, the paint lays nice and the interior finish is detailed. Duckworths inovation always is always pleasing. They seem to have a good read on what sportmen are looking for in an all around water craft.

Posted by Tim, a proud owner of a 18 Duckworth Advantage Classic
It is made really tough. Easy to weld to and is very versatle. I cannot go too fast in the ocean when it's rough but I do not like the ocean when it's rough any way, so the hull design is OK. I know it is designed for the rivers. I have had this boat all the way to blossom bar on the rouge river and I've had it 25 miles off the coast of Newport halibut fishing. Not many boats can do both.
Posted by , a proud owner of a 22' Duckworth Red Dot
This will sound like a broken record, but strength of design and construction, my 1978 22' Duckworth is 34 years old and I still get compliments at the dock, and she has plenty of beauty/character marks on her. Other than being in a small craft advisory ocean seas, there is no where I wouldn't feel safe and secure on the water, including being on the Columbia in 60+ mph winds with 6-7' swells, been there done that. The 19' Hewescraft that started toward the launch from 3 miles out with me arrived at the launch after I made a potty break and trailered my boat, and way more worse for the wear...... She (Happy Hour) will be with me for life, the next owner will be buying a 60+ year old boat still ready for more service, just feed her a new engine as they wear out as i don't think she will. =)
Update: She got an over skin in last 5' of bottom and 12"up transom due to battery acid damage that was discovered last season. I had them use 3/16" aluminum so the majority of back area is now 3/8" thick doubled up, could probably go stump jumping now if i was so inclined....lol

Solid construction. The dealer, 3 Rivers Marine, is by far the most knowledgeable boat dealer in the northwest and they made the difference in swinging me toward Duckworth. I had looked very seriously at North River and Dave Lee and Chad Beaty clearly explained the differences. I paid more for the Duckworth and felt it was worth the extra expenditure. I would also say that their service manager Curt Winters has continued to follow through with any post sale needs that I've had. Most other boat dealers I've dealt with over my 35 years of boat and yacht ownership quickly lose interest after they "cash the check".
Boat is stout and performs to my expectations and I'm not easy to please.

What I like most about this 28 Offshore is its performance, Top speed of 44 mph and a comfortable cursing speed of 32 mph with twin Yamaha 150's make it very fuel efficient giving me many days of fishing without having to go looking for fuel, epically with the 175 gallon fuel tank! The ride is fabulous at wide open throttle and when you have to trim the bow down and hammer the offshore swells its very comfortable and surprisingly quiet!

My first boat that I owned was a little Columbian 10 ft tri hull and I have worked my way up to a Duck. This is my 5th boat and my second aluminum. I traded in a 17' North River Mariner because I wanted a smoother riding boat, it had a 12 d. hull and a was darn good boat but could be rough in a light chop. My 18' Navigator Sport has some features I missed on my Marineer which are the 7 inch higher sides and the taller back splash and being 6 inches wider helps also as well as does the 9 inches longer. I had taken some pretty rough water in my NR and could run at 37 on the river with a 90 Yammer. One of several things I like about my Duck are the reverse chins as they help the boat get up on step faster and keep the boat from slipping down at lower speeds. when I did my test ride in my duck it was in 2 foot chop with white caps and I could tell right away the boat would be much smoother riding and handle very well. There is one other thing that I really like, with the sides and back splash higher I can fish in the ocean for salmon which will extend my salmon season by a couple of months or more. I have had two of my neighbors over to look at it, one of them sold boats for a while and the other built them and both were very impressed with the quality of workman ship with the boat. However I must admit I do have one problem with the boat, everybody who sees it keeps drooling on it and that is just a pain to wipe off without a big grin on my face. Thanksgiving is coming up and we are having a houseful of family who have never seen it so along with grand kids and others I will have to have plenty of towels handy. I am very particular in my boats and I feel I have the top of the line in mine.

Living in northern Canada on Great Slave Lake, I'm fortunate to have access to world-class lake trout, northern pike, walleye, and grayling fishing. But the lake can get angry - it's the deepest freshwater in North America, the 9th largest lake on the planet and in many parts of the lake the water only reaches ~45F even in the middle of summer. The lake is frozen 7 months of the year.
The Offshore has been the perfect boat for the lake. It's solid safe and comfortable when the weather turns bad and is perfect for trolling for trout. It's ideal for a weekend out camping or extended days on the water fishing. I love it.

I appreciate the quality of workmanship and reliability of my Duckworth boat(s). My Pacific Navigator gets fished hard and has never let me down. Dealer service at Valley Marine has been outstanding both before and after the sale and the warranty work performed at the factory, although unfortunate, was excellent with absolutely no hassle and most importantly, they fixed it right! When it came time to consider buying a second boat I never thought twice about buying anything but another Duckworth!

Spacious room, standout color, and finished inside unlike any other NW style boat.

The comfort and feeling of security is outstanding. I have had the boat 1 year now and have 2000 miles om her,1600 miles of that are at 3 mph while trolling. Without my Offshore 24 I would not have caught half the fish I have as it would have been too rough. I fish a lot by myself so having auto pilot, and the best boat for rough water of its size on the market allows me to fish the worst conditions with confidence. Fishing in the rough has allowed me to catch 3 trophy Rainbows in the last year.

It is a very comfortable boat the wide bottom and high sides are a nice touch. The boat fishes very nice, stays right on track side drifting and back-trolling. It also runs great in skinny water!

We love out Duckworth. It has the comforts of a small pleasure craft with the strength and agility of an excellent fishing boat. This early year is built like a tank with thick aluminium construction and all welded seams. It feels sound on the choppy water with little to no flex. Its hull runs quiet and we especially like the comfortable seating, carpeted floors and sides and bullet proof foredeck. For a small boat it comes equipped with plenty of storage and cubbies for storage and equipment.

Easily on plane, very fuel efficient. Lots of cockpit space, quality cover, 36' sides are nice in the ocean

The fact that my family is always happy when we're on the water in our "Scarlet". Making memories every trip. We get compliments all the time at the boat launch about how great our boat looks. We spend just as much time in her on the driveway telling stories as we do in the water. Already peeking at the offshore series.....

I really enjoy the ride of the boat with how it cuts through the waves out in the ocean! There is also a ton of deck space for guys to move around and harvest fish. I also really like the in floor rod holder that is built into the cab!

The size is great for me, easy to handle rides nice, handles nice in what I class rough weather. Got caught in surf this summer, foggy out and could not see and I was north of north jetty at Winchester Oregon, and even took water over bow but boat handled nice. We took either 4 or 5 breakers getting out and did not get beat up getting out and yes I was really impressed. I really like the ride as it does not beat me to death. The only problem I have with it is keeping it clean...every time I show off my boat I have to follow people around with a towel to wipe up the drool. Couple of days ago I had a guy stop me, while boat was on trailer, and wanted to look at it. He was in between a Hewes and a Duck 18 Navigator and he is buying a Duck now. I fish lakes, rivers and ocean with it. I am retired navy and was an assault boat engineer in the Navy and I feel pretty safe it this boat, Chances are this will be my last boat unless I get a bigger one but I doubt that will ever happen. I have a 90 Yammer on back with 19inch prop and I can still get to 29 or 30 depending on conditions and I can tow my grandkids while the wake board. Funny thing is my neighbor bought one just like it excpet one year newer and different color.

So far the service has been the best of any product I have ever purchased. Just getting used to it. All of my questions have been answered. I am putting equipment on it & I would like to hear from other owners what has worked for them.

The lines of the boat, performance in seas to 5 ft (have not been in seas over 5ft yet), layout, storage, comfort, construction quality, etc. In short, we love our boat.

........At 66, I have owned 13 other boats in my life and as a very young man (15-16) worked for a dealer rigging boats and I have raced boats. So, I know more than 'most' folks about boats. Crossing Lake Le Berge recently (Yukon Territory) by myself on a very rough day on a plane at about 30 mph I got a smile on my face at how tough the little boat was. It was just bam, bam, bam, bam from one big 3-5' wave to the next for near 40 miles and that little Duck did not groan, moan, creak, shudder or wince even once so I did not feel the need to let off the throttle even once (baby the boat) which left me with a strong gut feeling about how well put together and STRONG this 33 year old (looks new) boat was. To say I was glad I bought it (one week earlier) is an
